A company Director earns £7000 a year as an employee of another business. If I set him up as an employee of his own company can I use the £3000 left from his personal allowance to pay him £250 a month as his salary without him incurring any tax or NI liabilities. Hi there Has anyone claimed the allowance yet via Sage?.... When you read up on the HMRC guidelines it says that you can claim via an EPS if your software supports it, which surely Sage must?!! So does that mean do you need to do an EPS after submitting your FPS?? Thanks

Hi I just want to check if I am correct on this: SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) is taxable MA (Maternity Allowance) not taxable If MA is not taxable, do you include it anywhere in the Self Assessment? They are pretty much the same thing, I can understand why one is and one isn't? Thanks Lyndsey
