When using cash accounting on Sage Line 50, If an sales invoice has been paid in the next vat quater. eg Sales Invoice dated 16/09 but was not entered on sage and then paid in the next quarter 16/11 . What date do i use on sage the invoice date or the paid date. ?

I would enter the Sales invoice using the invoice date, then when the payment is received, enter the payment date. That way your records are accurate

Sage wont process the VAT if using the cash accounting method, until a payment is allocated to the Sales invoice
