Tax Calc and API
Permalink Closed

Good afternoon,

HMRC have provided a method of obtaining information relevant for the completion of a Tax Return called Application Program Interfaces or API's which is now available with Taxcalc.

The set up was pretty easy but when asked for a phone number for HMRC to send text verification codes to I used my Business mobile number. Thinking about this, I am often out of the office with the mobile so this would create problems for my practice partner.. Our landlines use the same business phone number and accept texts, so I really should have used our landline number.  I have tried to find a contact number to resolve this but when speaking to HMRC help-desk they were less than helpful. Has anyone had the same issues and solved it?

Thank you

Jay

I have since telephone HMRC again and this time the problem was resolved although it took some time.

My mobile number has been removed and now the access codes are sent to our land line by voice mail not text (unfortunately)
