Previous Reconciled balance does not match....

I have come to reconcile my next bank statement and the balance brought forward does not match the previous reconciled balance. I have looked at other posts on here and have found the deleted culpret but do not know how to rectify the error. Please could someone help...

If you've found the deleted transaction then you need to re-post it at the same date it was originally posted, as if its in the bank then it needs to be posted.

Once reposted you can reconcile the bank the same as last time and carry on reconciling your next bank statement.

Why was it deleted in the first place?

Re-enter the deleted transaction - and then reconcile it (either before your "normal" bank rec, or as part of it).

Thank you I shall re-enter. I deleted it because it has been sat there since August and therefore thought it was entered incorrectly.

I will give it a go, will it not show on the suplliers records as us still owing them when we dont?

What transaction was deleted? It sounds like you mean a supplier payment but if you deleted a supplier payment it would show up as you owing the supplier but once you repost the deleted payment it will clear the payment and show a nil balance.
